Thoughts and Strategies on Anger

Anger is only one letter away from Danger

Sadly, there are some situations in which it is best for a marriage to end. Divorce counseling helps and supports individuals during this transition. While the essential aim of divorce counseling is to take a marriage apart, this new life phase is approached gently, creatively and with compassion. It is done so with dignity and respect.

Divorce counseling is a good idea for almost everyone. It can be extremely helpful for people who have children, and it is almost vital for couples who are consumed by their anger.

The losses in a divorce are great. The pain and hurt are great. All too often, couples cover their sense of loss through anger. Litigation and court appearances seem endless. Legal fees can pile up. And still, no resolution.

Divorce counseling helps the couple resolve or at least clarify the reasons for their anger, so reasonable negotations can move forward. It also helps the individuals gain a sense of closure regarding the marriage, encourages them to grieve the relationship's loss, and aids them in looking to the future.
