In group therapy, members share feelings,
struggles and goals in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment, thus benefitting from other group members’ experiences and the therapist’s own insights.
"No man is an island"—this is the crux of group therapy. Human beings are social and need to connect with each other. Group therapy offers multiple relationships to assist individuals in personal growth and problem solving.

individuals realize they are not alone in their struggles. Isolation is lifted; there are others who suffer as they do. Altruism is another group therapy outgrowth. Group members come to offer each other support, inspiration and hope, thus improving their own self-esteem and self-worth.
Sometimes the best way to help oneself is to help someone else. This is truly group therapy in action.
