Palliative Care is designed to assist individuals and their families with debilitating and terminal illness, geriatrics, death and dying issues and bereavement.
Stress and suffering through the course of chronic and debilitating illness and at the end of life are a universal experience for both patients and their families. The range and severity are far-reaching, including: psychological—unresolved issues, guilt, fear; physical—pain, debilitation, loss of function; financial—funding the care; and

practical—deciding where will the care take place and who will be responsible.
The Palliative Care program helps individuals and families to achieve greater insight and understanding about their sources of suffering, aid in decision-making by clarifying their intentions and gain deeper insight into how their past circumstances affect present conflicts or strain. Palliative care services are offered either at Montclair Counseling Center or in the patient's home. |
