Counseling/Psychotherapy
When counseling clients our clinicians use different approaches and therapies and will select the one most appropriate for the client.
Marriage Counseling
In marriage/couples counseling, individuals meet with the therapist together and/or singly to explore areas of disagreement/contention, emphasizing feasible and practical solutions to strengthen or separate.
Relationship/Relational Counseling
Relationship counseling brings together individuals who are working through issues in various relationships—lovers, roommates, business partners, teammates, friends.
Divorce Counseling
Sadly, there are some situations in which it is best for a marriage to end. Divorce counseling helps and supports individuals during this transition. While the essential aim of divorce counseling is to take a marriage apart, this new life phase is approached gently, creatively and with compassion. It is done so with dignity and respect.
Family Counseling
The family unit is the core of a sound, strong community. In family therapy, family members meet to discuss the issues creating family discord, learn ways to improve family dynamics and strengthen their relationships.
Child/ Teen
In child and adolescent therapy, the therapist engages a young person in an in-depth exploration of childhood/adolescent fears and concerns. Emphasis is placed on building self-esteem and conflict-resolution skills.
Short -term
Short-term counseling focuses on a specific problem or problems and helps identify practical solutions to resolve the issue/ issues within several sessions
Play
Play therapy allows children self-expression
through a format which they may find comfortable. Through play children are often motivated to address issues which they may normally be anxious about or reluctant to discuss directly.
Hypnosis
Hypnosis is both a relaxing process and a powerful tool to help achieve personal goals and create positive changes in your life. Hypnotherapists utilize hypnosis to help clients achieve success in weight reduction, smoking cessation, stress reduction, relaxation, increasing self-confidence & self-esteem, overcoming insomnia, eliminating nail biting, and creating change in other areas. Hypnotherapy may even be used as part of a program for reducing anxiety, panic attacks, or depression. Hypnosis is an ideal way to turn negative thoughts into positive self-talk.
Group
In group therapy, members share feelings,
struggles and goals in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment, thus benefitting from other group members' experiences and the therapist's own insights.
Psychoeducational Testing
Primary education is the main means by which children learn to socialize and become productive citizens. It is therefore critical to assess and treat difficulties at an early age, be they emotional, behavioral, academic and/or cognitive.
